Dick Maloney is a true modern classic. For over fourty years this Ottawa, Canada native has been singing the songs he believes in - in the tradition of the great vocalists. With the release of "The Melody Lingers On", "Beautiful Beginning" and his latest CD "Mood Swings" Maloney certainly proves he is in the league of the greatest jazz/standards vocalists.

"The Melody Lingers On" is the follow up album to Dick Maloney's 1994 critically acclaimed CD "Beautiful Beginning" Carrying on in the hip elegant tradition of 'Beautiful Beginning,' - ''The Melody Lingers On' is a collection of fifteen treasured love songs, of Gershwin, Porter, Rodgers ... and others.

"Most of the songs I write are about love. Being a gold-plated romantic, writing 'No More Searching' came easily - it's about that feeling of euphoria that comes when you find the right one. "I Couldn't Have Made It Without You' is dedicated to those couples who have stayed together through it all and to the great contribution women make in a successful relationship ... and finally 'The Casablanca Love Song' - a salute to my all-time favourite movie. So, welcome to my world ... share these romantic songs with someone special."
